The aim controller is everything most gamers dream of. There is a soft cushion at the front of the headset which you place onto your forehead.Ī small button sits underneath the base of the OLED display to move the display backwards and forwards to make it easier to pull it over your eyes. The headset consists of the main front OLED display and head strap with a rear dial at the back to adjust the tightness. These are fine enough if audio isn’t a huge deal breaker for you but there is a headphone jack so you can easily use your own headphones to improve the sound and immersion.Īs for communication, there is a built-in mic integrated within the headset which is a nice addition. The system comes with full 3D audio and you are supplied with in-ear headphones. ![]() I can read it but I find myself squinting after long play sessions to see it clearly. Trying to read small text on the menus or on instructions in a game can be difficult. There are a few issues I have with the display. ![]() Unfortunately, I haven’t tried the Oculus Rift or the HTC Vive which are meant to provide a clearer display but the PSVR display does the job and for a more affordable price. There is nothing to compare it to unless of course you have a Rift or Vive. It is one of the most memorable gaming experiences I have had. If this is your first VR headset then words can’t describe what it feels like to put on the PSVR for the first time. It supports full 360-degree vision, allowing you to turn around in games and see the world from a different perspective and renders at 120 frames per second. This is a single screen unlike the Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. This equates to around 960 x 1080 per eye. Reviewed on PS4 Pro with PSVR.The PSVR has a 5.7” OLED screen with a resolution of 1,920 x 1080. So sack off that clichéd trip to Madrid, get the headset on and have yourself a good time!Ī review code was provided by the publisher. ![]() There is no story to keep you gripped throughout but the variation in challenges always leaves you with something to tackle and the improved tracking minimises the frustration along the way. Overall Vacation Simulator is a great mishmash of humour and fun tasks that will keep you busy for a good few hours. ![]() I had initially played on one of my sub accounts as I wasn’t sure how do-able the platinum was, but I now feel confident enough to take on the challenge in my main account. There is nothing massively difficult about it, but I do find a few of the challenges, well, challenging. Trophy wise this is a tougher platinum than the incredibly easy Job Simulator. There really is something here for everyone and it results in some great fun. Each challenge is started by waving at a bot, which will initiate them explaining what the task involves. Some games require a certain amount of memories to unlock so you need to work your way around the locations completing tasks like replicating diagrams of sand castles, cooking and delivering food, catching fish, treadmill skiing and much more. All three spots are unlocked from the start and house a slew of mini games for you to complete to earn memories which are added to your wristwatch. The locations included a beach, forest and mountain area. Move tracking has also been overhauled and I am happy to report that while there are still limitations due to the hardware (PS Move sticks were initially released in 2010) you will encounter far less frustration than you likely did in Job Simulator.
